We are currently seeking a Senior Completion Design Engineer for a long term contract position with a Major Operator based in Scandinavia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completion design, engineering and planning on the project. Mainly based in the office there will also be a requirement to go to the well-site in support of on-going completion and frac operations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Completion design including equipment specification and selection
*Operations planning and work program/procedure generation including risk assessment and peer review, where required.
*Provision of onsite operations support during completion and frac operations.
*Performance tracking and making recommendations for improvement.
*Post operation close out including, reviewing performance against plan, capturing lessons learned and developing solutions to problems to improve performance.
*Identification and implementation of technology to reduce cost and/or add value.
*Completion related budget and time/cost estimate generation.
*Support Global Supply Chain on completion related contract tender preparation, bid evaluation and contract management
*Identify and implement technology to reduce cost and/or add value.
Essential Requirements
*Completion engineering design, planning and operations experience
*Solid well engineering experience with an operator.
*Hydraulic fracturing, completions/workover rig, coiled tubing, electric line, and well testing experience.
*Production and reservoir engineering experience.
*Drilling and operations engineering experience.
*A proven track record in implementing innovative, practical and value adding completion solutions.
*Intervention experience (wireline, slickline and coiled tubing etc.)
Desirable Requirements
*Unconventional chalk oil completion and frac experience.
*Well testing experience.
*Production and reservoir engineering experience.
*Drilling engineering and operations experience.
*International experience.
Education/Training:
*An Engineering Degree (preferably in Petroleum Engineering)
*Safety Leadership Training
*A high degree of computer literacy
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Oil field experience preferred
