PERMANENT STAFF OPPORTUNITY
Our client, a leading International Operator is searching for an experienced New Ventures Exploration Geophysicist to join the Atlantic Margin Team due to expansion. The successful Geophysicist must be able to work as a self directed prospect generator in a variety of basin settings.
The primary aim of this team is to icrease my clients portfolio of drillable, globally competitive opportunities by identifying and acquiring new inventory through licensing rounds, farm-ins or trades. At present the growth agenda for the team is focusing on the Barents Sea whilst still evaluating future areas anticipated to open in future licensing rounds such as the 'Gray Zone' in the Barents Sea.
In 2010 my client was successful in application and award of 5 new licenses, 2 of which host significant potential. They also actively pursued the 2012 22nd licensing round.
This team is a focal point for my client and it is important that Geophysicists applying meet the following requirements:
*MsC is Geophysics
*Regional 2D and 3D Seismic Interpretation Skills
*Support palaeogeographic interpretations
*Generate, prioritize and mature exploration inventory of ideals, leads and prospects through to investment consideration
*Skilled User of Seisworks, Straworks and visualization tools
*Regional knowledge of the North Sea/Barents Sea or Norwegian Sea
*Experience in Sequence Stratigraphic principle, Play fairway mapping in classic envoronments (fluvial to deep marine)
*A desire to learn and further develop skills
