ROLE:
- Member of Facilities Engineering team for delivery of multiple projects.
- This is a key position responsible for the project engineering support of
various projects from conceptual and detailed design stage through
fabrication, installation, performance testing and hand-over to operations.
- To support and guide a small team of project engineers
The senior project engineer proactively supports the engineering function in the area of project management. He or she promotes a professional attitude to the discipline, sets standards and functionally accepts responsibility for the delivery and management of projects from concept through all phases to close out.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safe execution of multiple projects within budget and schedule, from concept
through detail design, installation, through to project close-out.
- Manage approvals, budget, procurement and schedule for various projects.
- Manage and monitor the budget and schedule and advise management of
trends regarding costs and schedule.
- Delegation and supervision of smaller projects to a team of project engineers.
- Act as main coordination link between OPQL, vendors and contractors.
- Provide support to the Cost and Contracts groups.
- Address material and schedule concerns with contractors.
- Responsible for providing input to daily, weekly and monthly reports as
necessary.
- Participate in design and safety meetings.
- Provide input to cost estimates and budget.
- Ensure projects compliance with Process Risk Management Policy.
- Monitor performance of design, procurement and construction work.
- Coordinate and participate in formal design reviews, technical impact and/or
safety review meetings with other departments and with contractors.
- Keep management well informed on the high level aspects of project
Execution.
- Responsible for the proper review and processing of variations and claims
received from contractors.
- Imparts OPQL safety culture.
- Play a leading role in the management of change program.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Appropriate engineering qualification to degree level.
- Member of professional institute (preferred).
- Oil and Gas experience essential.
- Minimum 10 years experience.
- Experience in leading a team of project engineers
- Experience in managing multi-discipline facilities engineering projects for a
mature offshore asset, from conceptual, detailed design through to
completion and close out.
- Brownfield engineering modification experience essential.
- Previous international experience (preferred)
